Summer Holidays

Imagen
Sadly as it's seems, I had my last summer holidays very long time ago, but today I'm gonna talk about my last summer holidays that I had before I lost them when I moved to Santiago and entered to study at this university. The context of this photo (that memory) was in summer of 2009, I was living with my father in Belloto Norte and my mom was living in Santiago. She could travel from Santiago to spend weeks with my brother and I (she has a house in Concon). So my mom traveled that day and with my brothers and me, we visited Viña del Mar, we went to the beach, visited stores, went to my favorite place that I treasure in my heart, Muelle Vergara, that place you could eat, bought handcraft stuff (love to buy those necklace with labradorite becasue it was for good health) , listen to music in a bar, eat ice cream, etc... Then we took a break in Bravissimo (in the photo, not there anymore T.T) to order my favorite dessert, blue berry cheesecake with a doble choco moka, must to adm...

I must admit that this topic is was really hard for me, searching in Google photo or my social media, I realized that my photos  from 7 years ago and now, 99,99% are about my 7 cats and the foster cats (no regrets, they're sooo cute that is impossible not to take pictures), finding a photo about me, is to time traveling decades ago (not literally....). This photo is nothing about the topic, but searching for a photo I decided to include that cuteness, a foster kitty that I miss a lot, but he's happy in his new home.  Pedrito This photo was taken in 2008, in plaza Vergara, in Viña del mar, I was in my first year of my former career in PUCV. I'm with my little brother Fernando and this day was amazing, as you can see it was in Fiestas Patrias, everyone was celebrating, anticuchos in the street, empanadas, the sound of cuecas in the air; and a couple dancing cueca for some tips. I was obviously with my hair dyed green (why not?, love to dye my hair whenever I can), that...

Postgraduate studies?...

Imagen
Honestly I don't know yet what kind of postgraduate studies I'm gonna pursuit in my career area, but is for sure that I'm gonna study courses about digital art and video editing (maybe too much Domestika surveys in my social media....... hahaha). But seriously, I want to study those kind of courses because I really enjoy editing by now in Photoshop and Adobe Premiere and After Effects, my wish is could draw and paint in Photoshop, or doing really nice video editing for my family and friends. I know that Coursera have some free courses for students (those one that the university is involved financially), but for now the time for that is short and measure because the semester, so I'm thinking to take those surveys in the future and take courses in Domestika or similar pages, and they're online courses I can do it wherever I am in the future, if I'm still in Chile or maybe I'm lucky to be outside, also Coursera have nice pay courses in that area too. I don...

My future job, reality or dream?

Imagen
So many years ago I was debating to my self, what was my dream job?. The winner option was something that involves science. A mature and adult version of me decided that a job in the health care area is the way to go, but not a desk or lab one, I want to be with the people, treating people. So my dream work would be definitely work as a pharmacist in a hospital or clinic, the ideal working with hospitalized patients, even critical ones. I know that kind of job is very stressful and sometimes depressing because no matter what you do, people can die, but for me is a risk to take. Obviously is a indoor kind of work and I would love it no matter I like outdoor kind of stuff, a small sacrifice is that way I can help people, but for that is vacations or small go out in free days.... I may know that the job that I want even have difficult about free time and vacations, but if I have the need to travel because my work, I wish that is because I want to work in rural zones in Europe as well...

The best sandwich in the world!!!

Imagen
Well, must admit that I love to eat, taste every flavor if it is possible, every new and exotics combinations, but today I will talk about one of the most popular sandwich (and no, isn't about barros lucos). I'm gonna talk about the famous, tasty and incomparable Chacarero . How not love that sandwich, must admit that is sold in many parts in Chile and not all of them follows an unique recipe, but every must agree that it has beef tenderloin (can be pork too), tomato slices, green beans, mayonnaise and green chili. The difference can be the size of the sandwich, some places use their one mayonnaise recipe (some homemade versions or with garlic powder), also you can add that chilean american sauce (yeap sounds confusing), but some people goes far and instead of beef or pork tenderloin, goes with chicken breast or the vegetarian version with corn and cheese or the vegan one with humus, avocado, etc.... In my opinion I like the classic one, my younger version of me could stand wi...

Cringe situation....

Imagen
Well as I said before in a post, I was raise in Concon and lived also in Quilpué and Villa Alemana were my dad is living along with his family and despite the fact that everyone knows that Valparaíso has a little problem with stray dogs (just a little), that problem is not only in Valparaíso, also were I lived and mostly in all cities of Valparaíso region. Sadly for me at the age of 4 years old, a stray dog bite me in the face, near my eye socket, so obviously I have panic at dog, and the sadly part that the stray dogs could feel it too, so every time that I have to buy the daily bread at the local bakery, after I bought the bread, stray dogs were waiting at the door to steal me my purchase (paralyze by fear), and this situation continues no matter my age, in Concon happened when I was 4-10 years old, and when I moved to Quilpué, the stray dogs did exactly the same, they wait in the door and stole my bag with the daily bread (was 11-14 years), my family knew that the dogs stole th...

The best holidays ever!!

Imagen
First thing to say, I was grew up in Concon, Region of Valparaíso, so going on summer vacation to Santiago was always the best (not the hot temperature part), but I really enjoyed to visit the capital with my brother and my grandad, specially to visit my grandad's friends in their old houses (to much to play with in a big house), going to the fair in Ines the Suaréz park (really want always to buy toys like those sponge mouse with a wire to move them), going to Fantasilandia, a dream came true for every summer, never get tired of those games, specially revolution, the spooky cinema and the spooky gorillla that scared you while going in a boat. But the thing I couldn't wait for it is MIM, the interactive museum. How many crazy experiments, or the nails bed, playing with giant bubbles or discovering new science tips that you may not know, a dream came true for a future scientist. Also part of the fun was eating in the center of the capital, with my grandad loved to eat in Mercad...
